Regular eye checkup is vital for ensuring healthy eyesight. There are a number of eye examinations that an ophthalmologist performs to check ocular well-being. We perform eye examinations using advanced technologies and modernized tools to ensure appropriate outcomes. Some of the common examinations done to check eye and vision health are as follows

Visual Acuity Testing –In this method, a chart containing numbers and letters is read by the patients. Doctors do the test to evaluate the clarity of vision.
Color Blindness Testing –The color blindness test is done for individuals who have problems identifying or distinguishing colors. There are different methods that detect the exact problems of patients in understanding colors.
Ocular Motility Testing -Through this testing method, an ophthalmologist checks the movement of the eyes. It is an important procedure to ensure minimum strain on eyesight and enhance reading abilities.
Cover Test – A cover test is conducted to evaluate the alignment of both eyes. In this method, one eye of the patient is closed while the other eye focuses on an object. During this time, the doctor constantly monitors to check signs of abnormalities in the eyesight.
Refraction Testing – Refraction testing is done to check refractive errors or the accuracy of the corrective lens as found in the prescription. The doctors keep changing the lens until the patient can see clearly with a particular lens.
Slit Lamp Examination – It is an eye examination, where the doctor uses a binocular microscope to evaluate the inner surface of the eyes to detect abnormalities. This method identifies abnormalities in the eyes that cannot be detected on the surface level.
Pupil Dilation – In this technique, a type of drop is applied to the eyes to increase the size of the pupil. Pupil Dilation helps doctors to check the inner surfaces located inside the eyes.
Visual Field Testing –Doctors opt for visual field-testing methods to check peripheral vision if they suspect the occurrence of blind spots in the eyes. The cause of blind spots can be attributed to conditions like glaucoma or stroke.
